Hi I've had to reinstall my tom tom go 910 with your speed camera's.

I've down loaded the new.data.chk file, but how do I replace the sounds with a voice warning (gatso speed limit 30 mph ) Question

Hope you guys can assist me! the sounds are doing my head in Laughing

You have a number of options with the 910 to obtain spoken alerts, first is to use a computer voice and configure the warnings, have a read of THIS for a few ideas.

You can use the .ogg file method as an alternative to the above which you can find detailed HERE this is easier than messing around with the data.chk file to be honest.

Finally there is the data.chk method which limits you to 15 specific warnings (the other two methods above allow up to 100 individual warnings for you POI's). You can find details for this method HERE you need to rename the downloaded file to data.chk - i.e. simply remove the new. bit from the begining of the downloaded file. Now use the new file to replace the existing data.chk file which you will find in the root of your 910 hard drive.

Which ever option you choose to use please make sure you have a full back-up of the TomTom unit. You can use any mixture of the above alert methods, I use both TTS and ogg warnings on my device, I don't bother with the data.chk anymore - Mike
