Copying the .OVL aND .bmp file to the "Western Europe" folder in a TomTom 700 does not make the POIs show up so they are not selectable once the updated maps have been installed (map "Western Europe" v660.1219).
Does anyone have any ideas? |

The 660 upgrade creates a new Map Folder. Have you copied them to the Correct Folder?
Have you copied them as Files and not in a Folder?
It is easier to Copy the Files after you have Installed the new Map. _________________ Richard

Thanks. They were all in the same folder.
I had to not only turn off and restart but also reset the device. Then they worked (after posting the original question).
You do have to reset warnings when near POIs again if you want them which is pretty obvious really.
Incidentally, it is a pity TomTom Home did not either install the new map over the old version or at least uninstall the old one as you are left with both map versions on which leaves abou 55 Mb disk space left on a TomTom 700. |

You might want to keep the old map for the countries that are missing from the new map (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia). |
