You mean use the same Maps on two devices. At the same time!!8O
That's a no-no for a start. It would also mess up your activations, and possibly your 'upgrade' path.;) _________________ Richard

I have a go 910 and a ONE V2.
As i have bought both devices, could I use the maps from my GO 910, i.e. the USA maps on my ONE v2 as and when i need them?
If so, how? |

If I bought a TT One V2 Europe, could I use the Navteq maps in my Go 910? I understand the law regarding only one unit in use at a time etc. The purpose of this is to get coverage of the Republic of Ireland on my 910. I take it that the Navteq maps are not available for download. |

Technically, yes you could use the same maps on your go 910. Although it is a rather "grey" area regarding the law. You have to make sure that you only use the maps on one device and not both at the same time. How tomtom or anybody knows, I don't know! But that is a completly different matter
But, it is cheaper to download the maps via tomtom home, and yes Ireland is included than purchasing a tomtom one. |

Only the Rider and One V2's accept Navteq OR Teleatlas.
Navteq will NOT run in any other unit (AFAIK) and you'll get a "no maps found" message if you try. |

What about if you just buy a new TomTom XYZ and pop the maps/SD card in your existing model (activate it) etc. Will them maps stil work in the original at a later date?! I didnt think this was possible...I hear a lot of talk about peopl buying Tomtoms for the newer maps and making copies of data/map/SD card and actiavtion code then refunding them.....The poor guy that buys a refunded unit wil be stuffed?!?! |

Any ORIGINAL TT SD card map (Teleatlas) will run (without needing activating) in ANY TomTom Go Classic, 300, 500, 510, 710, Rider, One V1 or V2. Ditto Navteq in a Rider or One V2.
It's only when you're trying to run back-up copies in other units they need activating. |

Yup. The Product Code is a software licence (for a specific map) used for getting an Activation Code for your software (map) & doubles up as proof of ownership if you don'y have a receipt. |

The Cd doesnt contain new maps just POIs , splash screens, voices, speed cameras etc, the only maps are the uk ones that would originally be on the original SD card, sorry for possibly not explaining well enough. So would it work ok on a bigger card . Thanks |
