Hi All,
Hoping for some help please. I'm trying to find a portable GPS receiver like this one http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/h0001.html that would allow me to track my running and cycling routes. I've no need for real time tracking, all I would like to do is use a small, portable device that would log my position. If I could then use these logs after returning home to see exactly where I had been (on Google Earth for example) that would be great!
I am aware that I could use a mobile phone and bluetooth receiver, but that is too bulky really and I'm not sure that you can log the NMEA for use afterwards.
Does anyone have any ideas where to find a device like the one I mention above, in the UK? Or, could anyone suggest possible alternatives? I can't afford a Garmin Forerunner 301 by the way!
Thanks in advance |

The cheapest you can get is a Delorme Blue Logger. It's SiRF II though (older chipset). But it can store 50000 data points. _________________ Lutz

Hiya,
How about the Garmin Foretrex™ 101 ~£70 on Fleabay.
I use one every day, can recommend.
Also if you already have a Nokia Smart Phone, then the Navicore Slim SiRF III @~£32 & and a copy of Nokia 'SportsTracker' will also do the trick.
