Hi

Dont know if this should go in this forum or the TomTom one, but here goes....

I've got an HP iPaq 6515 and have installed Tom Tom 6 on it several times (in between hard resets!) and the result is always the same. As soon as I install Tom Tom, the microphone stops working when using my iPaq as a phone. Tom Tom works fine, the rest of the PDA works fine and the phone still rings in and dials out, but whenever I speak the person cant hear me. When i say microphone, i mean whatever is in the phone to allow people to hear me (not an external mic).

Its a works PDA and 3 other people have mentioned the same problem. Im on the T-Mobile network, and the other 3 people are on different mobile networks (dont know if this is relevant).

Does anyone have any clue what could be going on.

The phone works fine before I install Tom Tom; once I install it, the phone stops functioning properly, then when I uninstall it or hard reset the phone works fine again.

Please, a nod in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Well, it actually appears that now there is no sound at all (so it wasnt just the mic), the default ring tone (and all of the others) no longer work - i get a warning saying that the files are corrupt.

Even when I turn on all other sounds (hadnt really noticed as i turn them all off), like the screen taps and other system sounds, they still dont come on. This was via sounds and notification in the settings menu.

I was also wrong in my first post when i said the phone still rings when someone calls in - it doesnt do that either.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, hard resetting was the only way I could solve it, but that takes off Tom Tom and Im back to square one. It then works....until I install TT again.
