In TT6, what's the point of putting in places to visit, then marking them as "waypoints"?

Thanks

I think you will find that doing this makes them as going 'via', if you don't actually want to stop there.

It more a case of using Waypoints to Fine Tune a Route that you want to take.

It could be because it's more scenic, or better than the generated route, or you prefer to travel on a particular road as against another.

Hi markmcrobie
I use Itinerary Planning on most of my trips. By inserting waypoints I can get Tomtom to take me the way I want to go and not the route that Tomtom may prefere. Tomtom may want you to go down very narrow roads or through the middle of cities but by using waypoints you can go the way that you wish. In other words, you will be in complete control. It has served me well in busy parts of France and the UKand I wouldn't be without it.
