If you filled in your profile so we knew what PDA you are using then we could help you. The most likely problem is that you have too many POI's displayed or your PDA's processor is slow.

It is usually caused by Enabling too many POI's.

If you need to be aware of the POI use Warn When Near instead.;)

It seems to be mainly PDA's.

thankyou for your help sorry i was sparse on the information !

I have a mitac mio 168 which was running fine but as soon as i installed all the poi's it run so slow as to be unuseable.

Yes i have tried disabling the poi's and yes it runs fine again I was just unaware that having them enabled even when they not showing on screen would slow things down.

So if i have them disabled does that mean i wouldnt be able to navigate to a poi ?

One thing you can do is, if you have any POI files such as Tesco etc. that cover the whole country is to edit the POI file and remove all the locations you are not likely to use.

You will be able to Navigate to any Location in any of the POI Files you have.

But be aware that this could then Enable that POI again. This shouldn't be too much of a problem if only 1 or 2 are Enabled.
