|
|
I am trying to update my speed camera files, having loaded them successfully when i got the Navman. I select the files from Pocket GPS and save them in a Temp file. I follow the instructions for installing the Safety Camera Data base but when I try to open the file from the POI editor I get a message 'Unknown File Format' and I cannot progress from there.
It worked when i first installed it, can someone please tell me how to make it work again.
Thanks

Robert, is THIS of any help? - also when you download the files they are zipped up so you need to unzip the download before the POI editor will see the files - Mike |

1 ) Tap the URL button at the top (this will produce {URL} - but with square brackets, on screen).
2 ) Hit backspace once and type "=" (This gives {URL=})
3 ) Type, or probably paste, your web address immediately after the "="
4 ) Hit right arrow on your keyboard once, to go outside the square bracket.
5 ) Type your preferred text ("HERE" / "THIS" or whatever)
6 ) Tap the "URL*" button at the top to finish.
This should give the general format:
{URL=http:\\www.whatever.com}HERE{/url} (but with square brackets).
Much quicker and easier to do than describe!
It becomes second nature after a while. |

Sorry, couldn't resist this. :P | Well done, its easy when you know how, as a tip grab the URL of the page you want to link, simply highlight it with the mouse, right click and select "Copy" now in your post where you want the hyperlink text type enter your text here followed by - anyway you have it working now
I only hope that after all this off topic stuff that the links have helped out Robert to resolve his orivinal issue - Mike |

MORE INTERESTING :D :P :D
You can keep getting a FREE Safety Check.
Make sure you untick Share Information with Microsoft or they pester you to Download the new comprehensive, automatic, and self-updating PC care service that helps protect and maintain your PC.
Still but it's not often I stray. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Hmm... not sure I trust that site. It certainly isn't anything to do with Microsoft! (none of the links go to MS). |
