Mio 510e or 710 or something else?

Hi all

I am thinking of getting a GPS device, I around £300 to spend.

Important features I want from a device

Good GPS quality!
I need UK coverage - don’t really care about Europe or US
Speed camera support is very important!!
Ability to use my phone handsfree would be cool.

So far I have looked at the TomTom which seems expensive and you pay extra for all its services, my mind is current thoughts are focusing on the Mio 510e or 710. As far as I can tell the only difference between the 510e and and the 710 is the Europe maps which i do not care about and the Traffic information system which can be purchased as an addon, and is in fact not yet supported in the UK. So the 510e would seem the logical choice.

If I go the Mio route ... I have read on a forum about problems with MPH and KPH conversion on the Mio, not sure if fixed in the new 3.2 software?

I have done some reading that you can pay for better speed camera databases on this site, will these database work with the Mio 510e or 710? is it worth doing this?

Any other hacks or things I should look for?

Or have I totally lose the plot and I should being looking at something else ?

So my C510e arrived today from handtec.co.uk. Everything has gone well apart from the fact their was no charger in the box, only a in car one. How on earth can you charge it for 8 hours without a normal charger ?

I called handtec and spoke to a muppet who said they did not sell a charger!

I know you can charge by the USB cable and my PC - but from experience of doing this with mobile phones the power quality is never as good and never really charges that quick.

Any comments about this issue ?
