Hi,
Please help this is driving me insane!
I have just bought an old but new Kirrio set up including via michelin mapsonic 2.5 and the problem is that I cannot get a GPS fix no matter what I try.
I have power to the cradle - I have a solid red light on the reciever which after around a minute flashes (which it says in the manual that it is recieving a signal) and the cradle light is red (which the manual also says is ok)
As soon as I choose mapsonic on the pda the red lights starts to blink frantically and still no GPS fix - this also happens if I use Kane software (both of these programs work on a wired gps reciever in my other car)
Is it something to do with the set up? could it be that the module for the cradle is faulty? or something else?
I am using a palm tungsten c which when working in my other car does a great job.
If you have any ideas please help
Many thanks

Hi, Which bit is old, and which bit is new? Also your softwear is a bit old, and the Kirrio car kit, I think is a new thing, will the old softwear be able to comunicate with the reciever? On the ViaMichelin website, I think there is an upgrade avalable for 2.5, to 3.0, then you can upgrade 3.0 to 3.2, then upgrade 3.2 to 3.3 (For the Palm only), then you may have more luck sorting it out. Have a read, Have I got this right? Sugest you make a copy of the SD card, before you upgrade, incase I've got it wrong. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
