Anyone tried using a Tomtom in one of the new Peugeot 207s with the dreaded athermic windscreen? Does it work and do you have to position it anywhere particular for it to work properly?
Thanks |

Hi,
I have a 2006 Focus with Heated front screen - I have no problem what so ever with my 510 - Reception is fast, and stable.

My car is a Renault Megane & it has an athermic windscreen & my 910 was just taking too long to get a signal but since I bought the antenna it gets a signal virtually straight away. Best accessory I have bought so far. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Both with my old Mio168 SiRf II and my Mio P350 SiRF III work fine behind the athermic windscreen on my Citroen, however, I find it best to get a lock outside the car before setting up inside, after which everything runs fine, even after driving through Medway or Dartford Tunnels it soon locks on again.
If you do decide on an external aerial you could always secure it just behind your rear view mirror, rather than outside the car, as there is a 'clear' dotted area which won't interfere with the signal. But before buying an aerial try locking outside the car and all should run fine. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

If it's the same as my wifes 307 she has a power socket on the rear parcel shelf and she just plugs it in and leaves it in the corner of the parcel shelf she gets a perfect signal on her SDA in the front.

Thats exactly what I had to keep doing but you don't always have the time so I decided on an external antenna & I have never looked back, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver
