I have a ICN520, always displaying my position as 50 meters "behind".
When i come up to a crossroad or similar, i have already passed it by 50 meters.
Any way of calibration? |

Always 50 meters "behind" huh?
So not 50m to the north, south, east or west.
Hmm, i wonder... Thats a tricky bit of calibration. Wouldn't it be nice if it was 50m in front, but then it would need to be able to mind read.
The only relaible calibration i can think of would that lever under your right foot. The less you press it down, the more accurate the NavMan gets.
After all, you are given warnings of upcoming junctions. If you're still going so fast that you miss the juntion, chances are you wouldnt have made the turn at that speed anyway.
Just messing with you... dont take offense. |

Well, problem is that it is not "speed dependent" - if i stop at a red light, the GPS tells me that it is still 50m left to the red light...
And, it is always "in front" of me; so sometimes i have already passed the actual turn before it can be seen on the screen. |

Yes. Mine is a 510 but try this as the two devices are similar.....
From Main menu - click Settings - More settings - Hardware - Screen . Touch Screen (Align)
This will bring up a white screen with a cross in the middle. Use your stylus for accuracy then briefly hold the tip of the stylus on the centre of the cross. Repeat this as the cross moves around the screen. At the end of this tap the screen to save the data. Or if you dont want to keep the new settings the screen will close in 30 seconds. Esc back to the Main menu and select to save the settings when the dialog box comes up.
See if this helps. ![Wink](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________ Gee-Pee
