acer n35 problem

Hi all
Have a acer n35 and the trouble im getting is that i cant see my start icon its just a white bar which means i cant get in to programs,is there any way to reset it all as i cant restore as i need to get in to programs.
any help would be great

You need to hard reset it, if you can. The re-install software or from restore back up.
If you cannot hard reset it, then it has to go back for repair.
