Hi
Can you please help I have dowloaded tom tom home to my pc when I plug in the usb cable the program starts ok if I click on Explore it finds my tom tom 700 and lists all the info ok. When I click on my go 700 bottom left it changes to my device a picture of a tom tom 700 comes on with the caption Please connect your tom tom device using a usb cable and turn on. As it working on the Explore tab and also does backups no problem it IS switched on. I have reloaded the software a number of times but can't get this option to work can you please help many thanks.

Did you get a 'Pointing Red Arrow' on the picture of the Virtual 700?

If so, turn the Virtual 700 on with the Mouse.

"As it working on the Explore tab and also does backups no problem it IS switched on."

do u mean its really switched on screen lit up or do u mean it just seems to work without being switched on..

odd cos if windows sees it so should home.. try connecting with the sd card removed.. let it connect then insert the card.. mine connects far more reliably this way.. my card readers dont like being plugged in with a card in them either..

Quite a lot of people are confused by this. Once you have connected and switched on the TT unit you need to activate the on screen device by click the on screen start button on the picture of your unit.

I would try un-installing HOME by using Start | Programs | TomTom Home | Remove and then downloading HOME again. You will get the latest Version and, hopefully it will download the plug-in component that is needed for the Virtual TT.

Download from HERE.
