Hello, I'm currently using Tomtom 5 for pocket PC with the very handy ad-on OS GPS Convertor. This is Ideal for my work requirements as I have to travel to mobile phone sites that often have no post codes, but always have a grid reference.
I'd like to upgrade at some point to an All-in-one unit. It seems PDAs for navigation are being phased out.
After a bit of searching the forums here. It seems that the Garmin products allow navigation to OS grid references. Are there any other manufactures that have this facility?
I'm not wanting to edit and import POIs from a Laptop, I'd be quicker with a paper map using that option! |

TomTom will be bringing out Navigator 6 soon. Nowadays, most SatNavs are PNDs / AIOs (Personal Navigation Devices / All in Ones) as opposed to PDAs because SatNavs are now mainstream products instead of being reserved for geeks. ;)
Do you have an electronic copy of the list of mobile phone sites (i.e. in an MS Excel or other form)? If you do, then you could use Oldie’s POIConverter to convert it to a POI which you could store in your PDA or PND.

I should be able to get ahold of a list of current sites, but alot of the time I go to new builds where they have not been entered into the database yet. So its not always usefull.
Is it right that the Garmin Nuvi 310 has a facility to enter a OS grid ref? |
