Connecting more than one phone (Seperately)

Friends have recently bought a TTOne. He and his wife may be using the unit seperately. They are both on Vodagroan, and both on PayAsYouGo.

He connects his unit, and has to write the script (as per TomTom web page), for the phone/unit to understand how to connect through GPRS. All works fine
She wishes to use the unit with HER phone (again Vodagroan PAYG)

Her phone will not connect by itself, she has to again write the script, and THEN it works fine.

HE then wishes to use the TTOne with HIS phone. It hasn't remembered the script. It has to be re written again.

Bottom line. Every time "the other" wishes to use the unit, they have to re-write the log-in script.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know if this is correct, that the unit can only be used with one phone, and then the script (same) has to be re-written to unit??

I personally have a contract phone, and this connects automatically

Any ideas?

NB BOTH their phones are Nokia 6230's (NOT 6230i's)

Yes, this is a long standing issue. We had hoped that TomTom had resolved that with v6 but it seems that hasn't happened yet.

Currently you can only configure one mobile phone partner on the TomTom programs. each time you switch phones you'll have to do the stepas again.

It is also worth noting that while TomTom ask you for the GPRS details they will actually connect to their server via CSD

Thanks for that. But isn't CSD (Circuit Switched Data) on "dial up" as opposed to GPRS (pay for data size only)??

With regard to only connecting one phone, I felt SURE that I had paired more than phone (seperately) - At least that's what I told my friend and his wife. oops!
