When i connect the device to the computer it reads it fine, but i get nothing everywhere else. What do i do. Please help |

First of all try a reset (the switch is underneath near the conector) check the manual if not too sure.
If the above fails then you could try re-installing the back-up to the device this should get it going again - Mike |

I have tried to reset the device. It almost seems like the reset button is broken. When i push it, nothing happens. I t hink you are supposed to here a small clicking noise, but i don't hear one. As for a backup, i have never been able to get one. Is there a restore cd or something that i can "reinstall" the os on or anything like that? |

I sugest you try using a pin or needle to depress the reset switch, paper clips and such like tend to be a little bit too big, I hope you have found the correct switch to press, IT IS NOT ON THE FRONT OF THE DEVICE. (The small hole on the front facia of the device is the microphone) When you press the button there is a very small click that can be heard from the switch.
There have been two others that have reported the reset switch failed, on both ocasions the devices had to be returned to TomTom for rectification, so I would sugest you try to get hold of them in the morning.
The back-up is your responsibility to make when you first get the device, if you haven't done this and got a full copy of the TomToms contents on your PC then again you will need to speak to TomTom - there are no CD's or DVD's containing the data that is on the device - Mike |
