how to update my british map

hi I am very new to all this, my father in law has asked me to update his map on his tom tom go 300 and i havent a clue how to. Can anyone help me please. I have put all of the speed cameras on for him but i just cant get my head around this one!!!!

He has also asked if i can find out if he can be directed automatically around congestion and traffic jams???????

Hi, As far as map updates are concerned, you can't update them, you have to go out, and buy new maps, as far as "congestion and traffic jams", not sure , someone else will have to answer that one.

In answer to your second question about traffic the answer is yes but he has to subscribe to TT Traffic and have a mobile phone that has bluetooth and can access the internet. Details are on Tom Tom's website

Can you do the TT Traffic thing, on the TT 300, Does it need Bluetooth, has the 300 got bluetooth?

Yes, yes and yes, in that order.

The TT300 has bluetooth but only for talking to your phone so that it can get the traffic info. It cannot be used as a Bluetooth hands free like the 500 and 700
