Hi,
I have a TomTom One (upgraded using TT home to latest version 6.xx) and a v3i.
I can pair the phone with the TT One. But I cannot get the TT One to connect to plus services.
I know the phone has access to the web and the setting work as I have Opera Mobile working via gprs and use GPRS from my laptop.
I'm on O2.
Has anyone else made this work.
Thanks

There are some manual settings that are phone and provider specific. Try here for info:

Thanks for the advice.
I tried the V3i again with the manual setup and again it does not work.
Tried a C550 with a vodafone sim and that didn't work.
Begining to think it's them rather than me...
Won't be subscribing to Traffic...
Thanks again

Hi
I have a V3 and that works fine.
This only a complete guess, but are you using a bluetooth headset with your phone at exactly the same time as you are trying to access tomtom traffic. If so this may be your problem. My father-in-law experiences a problem that his phone will only pair via bluetooth to one device at a time.
I do sometimes get a connection problem but it is always solved by turning my phone off then switching it back on again. _________________ chauf4

Thanks for the reply, no made sure the only bluetooth devices active were the One and the Phone.
It used to work with the SPV-C550, but I don't use it anymore as it's far too slow and not very good at making calls, so I'm now really confused.
When I have more time I might try a factory default reset and have a play, but at the moment this is not practical, as I need it for work.
Thanks again

Do you get a "subscribe to GPRS first" message?
Are you on O2 PAYG? If so, I had the same problem. It appears that O2 PAYG cannot be used for GPRS connection. It works fine with WAP but not full GPRS internet conenction and hence not with TomTom. The official answer from O2, change to our contract service. B******s to that, I'll change to another network that does support it (all the others do apparently) |
