I downloaded the latest Aug 30 Safety Cameras update and copied this onto my SD card as usual, but my TomTom ONE fails to start (sticks on splash screen - power button not responsive, so had to reset with paper clip).
I tried this several times, then restored my last working backup - and added safety camera update, and it failed again.
Restored to my last working backup (which had mid august Safety Camera files in), and it works perfectly ??
Is there anything bizarre in the latest camera update which might have caused this ? I can't believe its only me affected ?
I can't have hit POI file limit, as the safety camera files were replacing existing files, but could there be some POI's per file limit this latest update has gone over which is peculiar to specific combinations of TomTom and loader ??
Or has the safety camera update been re-issued without mentioning this ? _________________ --

Since it seems to be, I wonder if you have downloaded either corrupt files, or the wrong files? I'd advise deleting the downloaded ones and trying again.
Only other thing, how much space on your card? My TT300 starting playing up when I went under about 2Mb of free space, (though not as bad as not booting), could be the new files are slightly larger than the old ones and that makes the difference?

The only limitation on number of POI per Group is the memory on the Card. It is possible to use over 300,000 entries in a POI File, (the old Postcode POI was a good example).;) _________________ Richard

I had exactly the same symptoms. But it was due to having the wrong data.chk file after I upgraded to new software version, and tried to use it with the camera audio warnings. I downloaded the data.chk file for the new version and all was well. _________________ Regards
