packard bell 400 gps

Hello all.
i have a packard bell 400 gps
i have downloaded the speed camera dateabase installed it and it works great the problem i have is that everytime i shutdown the sat nav and turn it back on its all gone.i then have to reload it all back on and save it but the same thing happens again.

Don't know this unit but does it use an SD card? If so it sounds as if the card is set to read only (little slider tab on side)

Thanks for reply to question no its a mmc card have found out that i should not power down unit just put it into power save and info will stay there only complete shut down if wanting to re-boot .
