I used to have a PocketPC Navman PIN and the maps on this showed the motorways in Blue and the A roads in green. I have now purchased a Navman 530 and all the roads are the same colour. when approaching a motorway it doesn't show up very well. Does anyone know how to change this?

A while back I found some files on my 520 in a folder called mapcols (Can't remember exactly where) that looked like they set the colours - have a look for files *.col on your 530, they were text files (Edit with notepad), that seemed to be colurs of various map things, in RGB colours of some sort. I don't know enough so didn't change them.

Hi

just got a 530, and noticed Motorways were not blue (as I was used to when using Tomtom on my PDA).

Before i start tinkering with things I am not to sure about, did this work?

Have you tried changing the colour scheme of the map as described on page 44 of the manual? The colour scheme "High Contrast" has blue motorways and maybe some of the others.

I use DESERT as this does deferentiate between the different roads, and also they stand out from the sand colour of the earth.

A 'Traffic Event' using the T1 Traffic Module highlights the 'event' road in bright pink!
