|
|
Hi all,
I want to remove/add some buttons on my 910. I know it can be done but am not sure which tool is best to use. So far Ive discovered http://www.gregoryduncan.com/ttmd/index.php only but it says its been tested with Go 300 (no mention of x10 series).
Could someone please point me in the right direction (no pun intended )
thanks |

The easy way is to use notepad to edit the menu file, the online menu builders don't yet support the 910 functions (or at least I haven't found one that does), what are you looking to do with the custom menu?
There are a number of posts in the POI Capture area of this site that contain menus for the 910, THIS might give you some idea - Mike |

Thanks mike. Im trying to remove buttons like "tomtom PLUS" as I dont need it and adding buttons closer to the main menu like "Clear route" which is used often.
I had a search in this forum only - doh! I will look in POI capture thanks a lot.
Could you advise which one is the menu file ? Editing it in notepad should be fine as programming in Computer Science was hard and I did that :p
thanks again |

First off make sure you have a full back up of your device, all to often we hear sob stories - make sure you have a "day one back up".
Do you have POICapture installed to the device ? - if so the menu file will be present in the SdkRegistry folder - Mike |

Yup, thanks mike. Ive made a When-first-used backup and have just made a its-all-running-fine backup so I should be safe.
Will install POICapture now and get editing Thanks ! |

I have my day one back up of the 910 which indicates 7,01GB the loquendo folder within the back up shows 4,07GB so you should be able to tell from this if the required files/ folders are present within your back up - Mike |
