I am running the following setup:

Ipaq 3970 with WM2003 (PocketPC 2003) Rom V4.0
Emtac BT GPS
TTNAV V2.24 Gps 2.08

Everything runs find and when starting TTNAV it does ask about using the BTGPS and selecting it enables everything to run as it should....Not a problem then...No Chance!!!!

I also have Co-Pilot 4 installed plus some utils: Vito navigator II & Winfast navigator.

The problem is the above pieces of software REFUSE to find the BT GPS or its Com Port, however uninstall Tomtom and they see the port and work fine, so it seems TTNAV is locking out the BT Com Port so that other apps cannot use it.

Anyone come across this and found a work around.

Thanks

Graeme

I'm glad to say there's a simple solution, open 'Remove Programs' and uninstall the 'TomTom~GPS entry.

This will not affect operation of TomTom but will allow 3rd party applications to access the Bluetooth GPS. TomTom brought this in with v2.08 of the driver to reduce problems with lock-ups when switching off before exiting TTNav but it's caused more issues than it resolved including locking the BT Com port for TTNav's exclusive use.
