|
|
I have just purchased the 910 and tried to update the firmware using Tomtom home, but the device will not connect. Windows keeps saying its an unknown device and may be faulty. Everything is connected correctly as far as I know using the home dock. I have tried both USB ports. This is the pc at work and I have not tried my home pc yet. I hope it works at home |

On the 910, did you get the popup asking if you want to connect to the computer? _________________ Lutz

I currently have a similar problem. If this is your first time ever connecting to the home dock, attach the 910 to the home dock as if you were attaching it to the mount. In other words, hold the release button until the 910 locks into the home dock and you see the green light turn on.
Hope this helps. |

Hi again, the green light comes on ok anyway. I have tried 2 pcs and my mac and none work. Looks like I will be giving Dixons a call tomorrow and sending the unit back |

Thanks for the replies
There is a picture on the 910 that pops up with and hand touching the 910 and in the bottom left corner is what looks like a disc and a red cross. I presume this just means dont remove it while it is connecting.
Why do i always end up with duff things! |

Im sorry to hear it's still not working. I guess it is not working properly. If you did get the message "Do you want to connect to your computer" and it doesn't connect, there is a problem. |

Tomtom are useless.
I sent them a message about my problems and they replied. With a link to their site showing me how to attch the unit to the windscreen device!
Blinking fools. I wait 2 days for that reply!
I will return the unit for a refund tomorrow. |
