Where have you installed the new file to? - it needs to go into the program files/ navigator folder to replace the existing data.chk file -
If you have done this simply reset the device, (prod the stylus in the reset hole, you won't loose data, but it will clear the devices memory).
Then configure your warn when near POI which is found in Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI - configure each camera as a seperate entity and use the "Test" button to hear the warning sound to make sure it is the correct one for the file you are configuring - Mike |

I do not have a /navigator folder. I have installed it in the /tomtom folder where the original data.chk files was stored. |

You must have this folder or the TomTom wouldn't work! - look again in the following location:
MyDevice/ Programs/ Navigator
(or on some machines)
MyDevice/ Program Files/ Navigator
In this folder is where the data.chk file is located, this is the one to be replaced
The dataxx.chk files in the other folder (where xx is a number are the navigation voices) hence you have found more than one, the nav voices are different files to that used for warnings

Have reset the phone and it still dont work have also looked for the navigator folder which i dont have.
In the /tomtom folder there was only one data.chk file alond with a few other. I nkw the difference between this and the voices folder.
Quote for the download page
The data.chk file will be found in the TomTom application sub-directory. Mine (HP Edition) was found in the /program files/navigator directory. Lutz found his in the /TomTom directory.
Any ideas. |

When you look for the folders can you find the Program Files folder, open this then look in it for the navigator folder, the Wizard phone you are using is no different to the Exec I have, although I should add I did install my TomTom application to the device memory, did you per chance install to the memory card? - Mike |

NP posts crossed in cyber land - once you replace the data.chk file reset the device and configure your warnings, let us know how you get on - Mike |
