Tom Tom Shows the road you are going to be looking for next and not the road you are on When you have a Route Planned.
Is it possible the next road on the route was the M6? |

I travel the A14 and up the M6 often and TT5 doesn't acknowledge the A14/M6 junction at all. If you don't know the route, it is easy to end up in the wrong lane at the end of the A14.
I wonder if that's why there's so many accidents there. _________________ Richard

Well, my GO Classic acknowledges it as a roundabout - but only in one direction!
Going from the M6 to the A14 it gives the correct directions - but going from the A14 to the M6 - zilch! _________________ Roger

Travel A14 several times a year, found that my TT Classic thinks the A14 westbound from the roundabout for the A1 is th M6, voice instruction says " Cross the roundabout second exit then take the motorway." _________________ So many questions, so little time.

On similar lines, going onto the M1 from the A45 (from the East) at Junction 15, "Jane" always suggests I "turn left and do a U-turn, then turn left" to get onto the motorway - although the display shows the correct route ("2nd left")!
Maybe I should try it - I've asked for the "fastest route"?!

This happened to us yesterday with our 910, obviously using the same maps.
We needed to go A14 - A46, which is of course via the M6 -- before we set out I used Browse Text and it didn't even mention the M6, and as you say, it gave no instructions at all about the M6.
You're right about the accidents, although probably that isn't the reason -- we often see an accident blocking the carriageway on the A14 just before the junction with the M6.
