tomtom ONE not connecting to computer ???

have downloaded the camera database a few times, but tried to get the latest download (30th Aug) and when i plug my tomtom ONE into my pc the computer does not recognise anything is plugged in. my tomtom doesn'y show the 'connected' screen either. tried plugging into another computer and same results. am i doing anything wrong?? as i say have not had problems before. downloaded and installed last database (aug 17th) no problem.
can anyone advise pls???

have now sorted out.
my sd card was set to 'lock'. when i moved jumper off of lock, unit was recognised by pc immediatly. i did not realise this would be the case. may help some others who experience same probs.
