nuvi 310 software updates

Although I ran the webupdater a few days ago, I discovered that my nuvi 310D was running software version 2.80 and not 2.90 that has been available for a week.

Running the webupdater again and it said that the software was up to date (including the GTM software).

I manually downloaded and installed 2.90 from the Garmin website.
Having installed this, running webupdater again revealed that there was a GTM update (3.70).

It would appear that some folks could be missing-out on critical updates (improved bluetooth volume and GTM) if you are relying on the webupdater only.
