Another question!!
Trying to activate the european maps supplied with my new 530 but the number on the back of each CD sleeve seems to be 1 character short to fill the space required in the activation field.
A typical number is 565116070051R00. All the "0's" are zeros.
Am I using the right number or is ther some other one somewhere?
I have emailed Navman but as yet no reply
Thanks

I had a problem once when re-loading the 530; it did ask for the activation keys and none of the numbers supplied would work. Out of desparation I clicked on the option to "retrieve existing registration information from Navman" or something to that effect and hey presto, everything worked. |

Hi Bob
are you sure you have the full European edition of the 530? There is also a "local edition" which is less expensive, but only your local maps are activated (UK/Ireland in your case, I suppose).
The fact that the European CDs were in the box doesn't mean that you can use them, they are always supplied with the 530, but if you have a local edition, you have to buy an additional key to activate the "rest of Europe"...
With the full European edition, no activation key is needed.

So this is why they are not mentioned on the box of the Local Edition but are included in the package.
The Local Edition in the UK includes the T1 traffic module for the same price as the ICN530.
So that's a bit of a "bu**er" I thought I had got the Euro maps and the T1 for a really good price. Now I have to pay another 149 Euros when I go to France next year.
Unless anybody know differently !!!

The Navman shop lists a "Single Region Unlock Key" for 75 €, if you're sure you only need France. On the other hand, perhaps it's safer to buy all of Western Europe for the price of 2 single regions... |

That's a thought. 8)
We have done this years trip to France in June so I will leave it until next summer when we go to France, perhaps something will come along before then and the maps may be updated.

You can use the major roads of europe from CD 1 with the Local edition
you use the Basemapuploader software, you will need an SD card to install them on tho |
