TMC Receiver For Mio510E

Hey,

I have been onto the Mio website and it seems that the TMC receiver has been removed from sale.

Has anybody else got any information regarding this?

I have emailed MioTech about this but I never get a reply! Rolling Eyes

I ordered my TMC reciever for my C510 from the site as soon as I saw it was available and recieved it within a couple of weeks, but then couldn't get it to function Crying or Very sad

When I checked back on the website they had amended the page to say that the service would not work in the UK 8O And then later the device has disappeared from the radar! Rolling Eyes

I contacted MioShop and finally got a response -- apparently the TMC unit will only work on C510's which have the updated software (v3.11) and not the original v3.0. As they haven't got the update software available on CD/DVD yet, it looks like they've taken the unit off the site.

You can check your software version from the MioMap menu. Choose: Settings... About

Mine reports: Mio Map Program version v3.0 May 12 2006

If you want I can PM you the e-mail address of the lady that did respond from Mio if you want to chase it up...
