mio c710, can't save changes to the sys.txt file

Hi all

file sys.txt has these lines:-
[debug]
smart_2d=1
slowsim=1
loop_sim=1
;log_tmc=1


so I changed the offending line to :-
;slowsim=1

this is regarding bug fix [http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=44193]

I save it(in text pad)--go out---refresh---see the sys.txt again--it's back to normal (as it initially was),i.e. what I saved , was ignored.

2nd try) = I deleted the complete line--saved--went back in again--it's still there

3rd try) deleted the line--saved in note pad--soft reset(pin)--came back to see the file--all's intact

I am on a full fledged version of bluesoleil(voip).

any idea as to what am I doing different here.

try to copy the file to your pc. edit it there, save it and copy it back to the mio.
