Just to add to the above. I was surfing when I came across some info. regarding TTN5.21. Evidently it only uses GSV, GSA and RMC, so I experimented and changed mine to:-
GGA 0, GLL 0, GSA 5, GSV 5, RMC 1, VTG 0, MSS 0
and it still works fine, I have mine set up inside, near the patio door, and have a lock on 10 of the 11 satellites in view.
