I get my SysOnChip GPS CF Plus on Monday for use with TomTom. What are the changes I have to make to my set up in order to get the best out of this? Where do I look to get the software to work with the hard ware? Question

Change TomTom driver to use NMEA 0183v2 on 4800 and you should be up and working within seconds.

So I should select: NMEA 0183v2 on 4800
instead of the SysOnChip GPS CF Plus? Just as a matter of interest why shouldn't I use the latter?

...or why shouldn't you use the former ? 8O :D

The NMEA 0183v2 driver is the bare bones, basic you can get. If you use a named driver it could have been tweaked, some of the TomTom drivers have been tweaked, and they will reset the GPS to a different baud rate and give lack lustre results, so using the NMEA basic driver can in a lot of cases provide better results. Not always the case, 99% of all Bluetooth GPS Receivers work well using the Emtac Wireless Driver, but absolutely detest the Emtac Crux driver.
