I get my SysOnChip GPS CF Plus on Monday for use with TomTom. What are the changes I have to make to my set up in order to get the best out of this? Where do I look to get the software to work with the hard ware? |

Change TomTom driver to use NMEA 0183v2 on 4800 and you should be up and working within seconds. |

So I should select: NMEA 0183v2 on 4800
instead of the SysOnChip GPS CF Plus? Just as a matter of interest why shouldn't I use the latter? |

...or why shouldn't you use the former ? 8O :D
The NMEA 0183v2 driver is the bare bones, basic you can get. If you use a named driver it could have been tweaked, some of the TomTom drivers have been tweaked, and they will reset the GPS to a different baud rate and give lack lustre results, so using the NMEA basic driver can in a lot of cases provide better results. Not always the case, 99% of all Bluetooth GPS Receivers work well using the Emtac Wireless Driver, but absolutely detest the Emtac Crux driver. |
