I have done a search on the forums but can't find an answer to my problem. I have 17 TomTom One's at work which we have had for 3 weeks or so. One of the units has a problem where it will not switch off. When you press the buttin the screen freezes but doesn't go off, the only way to get out of this is to reset it. I have tried resetting to factory settings and restoring from an original back up but it makes no difference.
Has anybody else had this problem? I have only been able to see posts about not being able to switch on.
Thanks. |

You could copy the entire contents of the card to a folder on a computer (make sure all hidden files and the folder structure are copied also) the nreformat the card in a card reader. Then restore the files to the card. That can help reolve corrupt card problems and will also defragment the card and speed things up. |

Thanks for the replies folks.
I have tried formatting the card and updating to 6.14. The only difference now is that it sometimes freezes on the splash screen at startup.
I have spoken to TomTom customre support and am waiting for an email but I imagine that will just repeat whats already been said and done.
Heres hoping though....
Thanks again |

It may be that the card is faulty, or the connectors to the card in the device are faulty. |
