|
|
Hi,
I have a MiOA201 with TT5.21 and some maps of europe on it (Benelux-Plus). I am going on a trip to the US in august and want the maps of California. I have all the maps of the US, it says to copy the files to the SD card, which I've done but the maps don't show up in the list of maps? The maps should be compatible (pna file has number 635 or something similar).
Does anybody know how to fix this issue?!
Thanks for any help! :P |

632 may actually be too new for 5.21 - the latest map I can confirm as working is 621 _________________ Lutz

Are these on a genuine Tom Tom CD with product code? Have you got the activation code for them? _________________ Peter

Peter, we can leave the question for later. First the maps need to be selectable from within TomTom. If they are not they are either too old v4 maps or too new v6 maps. _________________ Lutz

But TT5.21 is the latest version isn't it? At least for PDA, I have no idea about versions for TomTom GO etc. So the first letter should be a 5 as well (since i have TomTom 5.xx)? |

I just saw that I have other maps that don't work either which are version 566 ? The only maps I can get to work are the European ones and that one (benelux plus) has number 632 ... I'm getting a bit frustrated here 8O |

Map version numbers have no relationship to program version numbers. _________________ Lutz

So why don't my maps work? I have a DVD of all european maps and they all work... the maps I got from my brother in law don't work although it says Tomtom5 maps USA 8O I think I'm switching to Navigon soon if this isn't working... too bad 'cause I was planning on creating a nice roadtrip in TTN for our roadtrip in California... |

You could try getting your USA maps from Tomtom instead of your brother-in-law...then they might work? :P |

Haha Huhu Hoho.... Navigon have discontinued their Pocket PC version for the US market due to "insufficient demand". _________________ Lutz

Hi.
I would like to know also witch version of the United_State-map that would work with TT5.21 ?
Would v5.67 United_State-map work with TT5.21 ?
And what about Western_and_Central_Europe-Map v650 with TT5.21 ?
I know the Western_Europe-Map v632 works with TT5.21 but would love to know about the other 2 here.
Thanks for a great Forum

I was under the impression that they had withdrawn from their association with OnCourse Navigator but would still be producing Navigon 6 with maps available of the USA.
Whether Navigon 6 will be marketed directly in the US is another matter.

It could be that the maps you got from your brother in law are copies?? they have already been registered to his device. _________________ Peter
