SD-502 compatibility

I just got my SD-502, I've seen a lot of compatibility lists floating around out there and was wondering if anyone can tell me specifically whether or not it will work with an HP rx1955?

It was purchased from an ebay (globalsat reseller) and I called Globalsat USA to make sure. His list only stated that it was compatible with the 1950 series.

Any help on this would be fantastic.

When I plugged it in and the software was installed it showed up in the memory but with no memory available, now it doesnt show up at all, the GPS shows up but gives me no information, the light blinks. I'm thinking I'm doomed. and need to order a Pharos, but like the compactness, style and protection this sdio reciever has.
