Don't expect a review on here - there is still no review of the tomtom Go ranges 510,710 and 910 and the 910 at least has been on the shelves for 3 months...
I would like some news on v6 as my traffic sub runs out today and don't want to renew it until I know for sure that a v6 is coming and is a worthwhile upgrade over a go, navman or garmin all in one unit.
As befopre only want new maps - think tomtom are really dropping the ball with annual updates now taking 15 or 16 or more months to appear. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

Based on that opinion, TTN6 relase in 2006 will by TTN8 for the begining of 2008 if it takes 15-16 months for development. I am also predicting that this will be the last major upgrade and then you will get maps only and minor tweaks in 207 and 2008. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

There seems a lot of support for tomtom on the web, speed cams, poi's etc, but tomtom really need to get a grip, if the maps were upto date with igo i would change, but will hang on and see what v6 is like.
Sorry also to the admins, i thought tomtom would have given you an insight into v6 by now, and even a preview or something, thats why i asked.
it looks like tomtom could be loosing a few users on the pda format. |

There is something very odd about TomTom. I have been using their Eastern Europe Maps since Easter of this year, and they are really great. I made comment to TomTom who denied they even had a street plan of Bucharest, or Budapest for that matter, yet mine clearly works and I can navigate straight to Moscow from UK using it.
Ah well, if they do not have it, perhaps it explains why their maps are out of date elsewhere. But at least it works for me. Perhaps their strategy may be to include it in v6, as they said on the 910, the eastern europe map is very sparse, whereas this map is only missing the odd very small street in the cities and certainly not missing any I use in my travels. It covers the major roads od western europe too, whereas the Poland-Czech-Slovakia-Hungary one does not.
Perhaps I am Beta testing. Who knows? _________________ TomTom Go720 v8.320

There were massive complaints about the AND based Eastern Europe maps. In most of the regions the geocoding is 150 m off. I think that's why they didn't release them but instead wait for TeleAtlas to get their act together.
TomTom and TeleAtlas make a nice pair... _________________ Lutz
