if you are travelling at 5mph or more under the limit you will not get any warning.
If you are travelling at between 5 under and the limit you will get a single tone.
You get a continuos warning if you are over the limit.
Could be that you were not going too fast!

do the speed cameras show up in the 'custom points' in the unit? if not then they haven't been uploaded correctly. make sure you use poi loader.

Once you get the the screen on the unit it should display (amongst whatever else you have loaded) pocketgps_uk_gatso_20 etc, there will be one line entery per speed camera you have loaded, so it will be either a single entry if you went for the all in one download,
five entries if you downloaded the one labeled "UK POI Loader i3, Nuvi etc" or
24 entries if you put the speed zoned set on the device - Mike |

Hi,
Uploaded the speedcams and am wandering if it's possible to fix the notifications on the top menu / bar (where the route is normally displayed) to be in MPH but get the nuvi to display distances in km / m?
Thanks - Nick |

As you know the GPS tells you where a speed trap / Camera is or has been. The gps alerts you as you approach the vicinity of such places.
You can find that you alerted about cameras near to the road you are on, or yif there has been a camera on some roadworks that has then been removed it can syill be on the database.
A glance at the screen should show where the camera you are being warned about is. |
