I have a Mio 168 Clone and am looking at adding TMC support to it.
I have Navigon 5.6.2 (which shows TMC support) and would like to know if this will work with TMC in the UK !!
If it does, should it work OK with this:

Many Thanks |

I have much the same question!
I see you can buy the "AA's" maps & they sell their own version of the TMC cable, BUT, then you cannot use the Pocket gps cameras & have to pay for the AA speed camera service.
So, i would ideally like to use my Mio 168 with TomTom 5 plus this add on TMC...However , I gather I am probably dreaming, so in this case which navigation software will allow the TMC to work AND the pocketgps speed cameras! Phew....
Thanks all in advance.

The TMC Adapter has arrived.
Navigon 5 seems to have found it, and it locked on to a local radio station that broadcasts RDS Data, but nothing came up on the map..
Not to sure what to expect...!!
One thing I did notice was I only got a lock when I hung the Ariel out of the window 8O.
When I fastened it to the windscreen, I got no lock ! Hopefully this isn't going to be an issue.
My car is a Merc C220 '03' reg, the Mio 168 works fine through the windscreen, so I'm hoping this should work.
I'm working away tomorrow, so I'll try it and see what happens..
Anyone have any ideas on what should happen, and what I need to do ???
Thanks |
