I have a customer that wants to track where his wife is driving. He lives in an area where it is impossible to use a realtime GPS tracker (already tried) due to inadequte cell phone coverage.
I'm looking for a data logger that he can put in the car under the dash and have it record where the car is traveling, if it stops somewhere for a long period of time, the address where it has stopped, and I would like it to be compatible with google earth or any other mapping software (hopefully free) so that we can see a graphical representation of where the car has been.
Can someone recommend something that would meet these conditions for me?
Thanks in advance |

We have done quite a few datalogger reviews - did you read them? _________________ Lutz

Before I listed the possibilities, I asked myself 'How would I feel if it was done to me or any member of my family?'
My answer is indicated by list of possibilities ................................................................................................................................................... |

I read a couple of them and to be honest, I am being overwhelmed with information at this point that it has my head spinning.
I purchased a trim track for around $470.00 and got their unlimited service for around $359.00 and found that the service would not work in my customers area, only after he went through the trouble of installaing it in his wife's car undetected. So now I need to sell this trimtrac or I'm out the money it cost to get this unit.
I don't want to screw up again for this customer so I wanted to get someone's opinion on this matter before I went and dropped a whole nother ass load of money on a device.
I read the review on the 3200bt in these forums which stated that the software was a letdown and I also read reviews on the WorldTracker datalogger.
I guess what I was looking for, was for someone to say "Here's what I used for that same scenario and it worked great for me"
Thanks again |
