is it me - or is this a backward step from this function availability in the 510 upgrade version - my 530 seems to give an arbitrary house no. point (middle?) when street as destination selected |

My 530 offers me the option of going to the centre of the street, inputting a housenumber or finding an intersection when I navigate to a street. _________________ Tim |

how does the 'option' appear Tim - when I enter street - it comes up immediately with a no. already in the street & there doesn't appear to be any options available to alter what is given |

When I have selected the street there are three options presented underneath it. They are
Go to centre of street
Enter house number
Find intersection
I tap Enter house number and then get to enter a house number! Some streets don't have number data, though. Can you tell me the name and location of the street? _________________ Tim |

I was trying for French Street - Sunbury on Thames & it came up with 185 French Street. There didn't seem to be any other options available - but I will check this agin for other destinations. Your tip on dragging 3d view from middle up worked a treat - many thanks |

When I put in Sunbury on Thames, then search for French Street, it says French Street, Staines, although it is clearly in Sunbury. I can select a range of house numbers, though. I will try to put up some screenshots if you're interested. _________________ Tim |

thanx Tim - comes up Staines for me too - screen shots of what your options are would be good. |

Hi.
I'm too having a little bother with the house number issue.
When I select the 'find postcodes' from the 'address or POI' option, after entering the postcode, you don't seem to get an option to enter house number. You just get a house number at random within that street.
Is anybody having the same trouble? |

Unfortunately, that is as it is designed. You can't fine tune a postcode location with a house number. _________________ Tim |

Many thanks for your prompt reply, Tim.
I guess I can live with that...
I've upgraded from my trusty Navman 3450 last week(after 3 years), and I'm very happy with 530 so far. I'm planning on taking it to France next month and looking forward to see how it performs.
Cheers. |

I will also be in France with one next month for a fortnight in and around Vannes, in Brittany. _________________ Tim |
