bluetooth headset module tomtom rider

having a few probs with the bluetooth on my rider

the module is suppose to have a battery life of 5 hrs this is not even close to the amount of time that is needed
would be ok if i could charge it direct from the bike but as soon as u plug in the power its shuts down
so u are unable to charge and use it at the same time

the other prob i have is with the speaker and mic supplied
i already own a set of custom ear plugs with speakers in them (a fantastic product btw) and would like to use these instead of the headset supplied

think im gonna have to buy a bluetooth receiver that has separate mic and speaker jack outputs and can be charged when in use or has a much longer battery life

Question is can anyone recommend a bluetooth receiver that solves theses problems?

cant understand when tomtom didn’t inc a audio output on the device its self
so much for being wire free

Bite the bullet and get a Scala Rider!

The TomTom bluetooth gives poor sound - muffled and low volume. It's also rather cheaply made.

The only advantage of keeping it is if you move the Rider from bike to car you don't need to pair a different headset each time. (If you've tried using it in the car yet you'll know how useless the earpiece is as well).
