I am currently running a T|E with VM 3.2, but want a more portable combination. I have bought a bluetooth gps receiver and will upgrade the T|E to either a T|E2 or TX.

Can anyone tell me if the TX is compatible with VM3.2, and if so, how it works on the TX's larger screen?

Thanks,

The ViaMichelin website specifically lists the TX as compatible with v 4 :
Technical information:
For Palm:
palmOne? Zire 31, 72, Tungsten E, TE2, T3, T5, Treo 650, TX
Palm OS® 5.X
2.5 MB of disk space required (depending on SD card size) for TX, T5, TE2 & Treo 650, and 10 MB for all other PDAs.

but that's no guarantee that it's compatible with v 3. You need to find someone who's already using that combination.
Sorry, that's not very helpful !

I have now bought a Tungsten E|2, but (maybe not surprisingly), VM3.2 won't copy to the new machine as the Palm Desktop manager has spotted that VM is already installed to the T|E. Embarassed

Anybody know how to do a successful transfer or reinstall? - I'd be grateful for your experience or advice on this one!

Regards,

It's sorted. Uninstall and reinstall from the PC and a hard reset of the E2 allowed me to start afresh. All working OK now.
