So my TTg300 got nicked tonight, usual scenario: tea leaves broke passenger window and found it in the glove box.
Giess if gives me an excuse to get the latest version
However I had just installed the MOWE. If I buy new TTG how do I load these onto a device with a different serial number? Will TT reset my registration?

The question that you want to be asking your self is what made them break in to your car to steal it from the glove box?
Did you leave the cradle in situe, the charger or the tell tale sign on the window from the rubber sucker??
Did they see you leave it there??
I seldom leave mine in the car except in the bag in the boot of the vehicle but only If I think it will be safe otherwise its a handbag for me to carry around.
I do have the external mike on my TT but I use a windscreen duster to cover it over when the TT isnt in the car.
Have you registered it with the immobilise web site or some of the other sites on here?
Have you told them its been stolen?
Lastly but not least have you contact the police to let them know?
Serial numbers are great for recovering items so is postcoded stuff or smartwater.
If you dont let the police know they cant ever return it "if" they should find it.
In a raid in South Yorkshire recently £250,000 - £500,000 of goods stolen from vehicles was recovered, admittedly a lot of this was stereos but there was a dozen or so sat nav's so I am led to believe.
My final question is, will your insurance cover the cost of the satnav? I have heard on companies refusing to pay for it. _________________ TomTom 300
