|
|
I posted here last week about how, after updating the ROM on my i-mate Jasjar, I couldn't re-install TTN5.1
Well, after a lot of trawling around and basically getting nowhere, I finally found a beta of Activesync 4.2 on the MS website, here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync42.mspx.
In desperation I tried this and - thank goodness - that did the trick. _________________ Brian Abbott

Pleased you got it sorted but it would have been better to post this in your original thread to make it easier for others searching for a solution in future. |

You can always install any Pocket PC software directly on the device. Much quicker and more stable than through ActiveSync. And with CABinstl you can even decide where to install (at least pre-WM5) _________________ Lutz

Not sure I agree :D
I posted a new thread specifically so I could generate a new title - just adding to the existing thread makes it very easy to miss. And if someone does a search there are enough key words that the old and new threads will be thrown up ... _________________ Brian Abbott

Assuming you can get a CAB out of the exe
I did look around for something that would do that with NAVUPD521.EXE but couldn't do it. Is there any way that you know of? _________________ Brian Abbott

yes, run the EXE from a folder that you monitor. After it has processed the APK files you will see a number of extra folders pop up. One of them contains the CAB file. _________________ Lutz
