how do i get my mates 300 up and running again

can anyone help me please mate of mine as tried to put speed cameras on his 300 and all it did was lock up the only way it would switch of was to re set anyways he as now lost all his data somehow of his card and the tom tom wont work if anyone could help he wopuld be eternaly gratefull thanks in advance.

No, you will be asked for an activation code. You get one from TomTom by providing the map code and the GO300 code. You won't get one if either codes have been used elsewhere.

If you do get a code and use it, you will prevent the original purchaser from getting any discounted upgrades and other goodies in future because TT will think the person with the activation code is the true owner.
