I'm thinking off giving a new unit to cover both europe and USA. The 910 looks prefect but there seems to be al ot of problems. Are they worth the hassle??????
Or should I get something else?
Thanks
Col
PS Is the tomtom rider any good as i ride bikes as well? |

Yeah I would also say go for it - it's so far been very impressive... 8O
Here and there a few wrong instructions, but It's been accurate 90%+ of the time......
I love the remote and the widescreen....looks mint and it fels like quality...
The mount can be a bit fiddly, but you MUST insert it properly, it's easy to NOT insert it all the way........ You also need turn the suction cup fastner so that it clicks TWICE when you fix it to the windscreen... else it WILL droop coz it's not holding the ball joint tight enough....
Quality ! I luv it ! |

Just bought a 910 today (replacing my Go Classic). Very pleased and certainly not found any problems. Have travelled about 300 miles with it today and loaded with about 50 MP3 podcasts, all the PocketGPS speed zoned files as well as a load of other POIs from POIHandler.
The free 1 month traffic service via GPRS mobile seems pretty good - have some longer journeys next week which will be interesting. Hope the TMC RDS unit is available soon - would be good to compare GPRS versus TMC. Also, seems to work well with my mobile in hands free.
Like anything, I can see where I would make some improvements, but overall I'm really pleased with it. Go for it :-)
Cheers ... Chris |
