Hi,
I have just got a 910 so all is new to me and i have subscribed to get the latest camera database.
Unzipped and see ov2 and bmp files and thinking they would overwrite any existing file i look in the folder on the tomtom (i live in the UK) Western & Central Europe folder and there are already ov2 and bmp files there but they are of the form
safety_cam_uk_other_TomTom.ov2 so these would not be overwritten ? do i need to delete thes files before loading the new ov2 & bmp files?

TIA Len

Unlike some other systems, on the TomTom all the various POI categories you can add (excluding the TomTom built-in ones, but INCLUDING the TomTom camera ones) are seperate .ov2 files.
This means you can add and remove them one by one, and as you rightly assume, unless they have exactly the same name, new ones will not overwrite old ones.

There is nothing to stop you leaving the TomTom supplied cameras on the system as well, as you can choose which ones you want to use in the menus.
But if you decide you don't need the TomTom ones, you can simply delete the safety_cam_uk_other_TomTom.ov2 and .bmp files.

When you come to update the PocketGPSW ones, the new files should have the same names as the previous ones, so in that case they WILL overwrite the originals.

Usual reminder: back everything up first, before you staret messing about. If you lose a map file by accident, you are st***ed.
