Can I install Tomtom 5 on 2 devices?
You could do this with Tomtom 3.
I found this very useful as I have 2 PDA's.
Thanks.

You can install the program on as many devices as you want.
You can activate new devices once after seven days and then one after each half year.
But legally you are only permitted to use a product code on one device at a time.
This is no different from v3. _________________ Lutz

Thats not what the EULA (the licence agreement between you and Tom Tom) says. There is a difference between what you can practically do and what the EULA allows you to do legally. The first clause of the EULA says
"This EULA grants a licence that permits you to use the software, provided the software is installed on only one computer or hardware device at any time and provided the software is combined with only one navigation system. This licence is non-exclusive and non-transferrable."
So you may be able to instal on a second device, but if you do you have to remove it from the first device. So you can't have it on 2 devices at the same time even if you never run them at the same time. _________________ Peter

you are of course right. I was just hinting at the fact that the "program" by itself is useless, even though you can install it everywhere and many times. _________________ Lutz

Legally speaking can you install it twice as long as you don't use both devices at the same time? |

Untill you have an issue with your device and it gets replaced. The additional activations are provided for that possibility, if you've already used them then TomTom won't help you. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Nope - see the quote from the Eula in my previous post "provided the software is installed on only one computer or hardware device at any time" _________________ Peter

yes, but this only means you are allowed to move the key to a new device every half year. Move, not add. _________________ Lutz
